For over a decade, Brooke Weisbrod has worked as a sportscaster for ESPN, NBC, the Big Ten Network, WNBA, WGN and CBS. A former professional basketball player in Europe and three-sport Division I athlete at Coastal Carolina University, Brooke has covered everything from college football, basketball, lacrosse and softball to the WNBA, MLS, as well as nationally televised high school sporting events.
Brooke's play on the court led to numerous awards, including Big South Conference accolades for Player, Rookie, and Scholar Athlete of the Year. She was named South Carolina's NCAA Woman of the Year in 2001 and was inducted into Coastal Carolina University's Hall of Fame in 2007.
As a motivational speaker, Brooke has partnered with Girl Up, an innovative campaign of the United Nations Foundation. In addition she has been invited as a guest speaker for Nike, WNBA and Dicks Sports Goods, just to name a few. Several publications have featured Brooke including The Chicago Tribune’s Red Eye, ESPN’s “The Experts”, Today’s Chicago Woman, ESPN.com, The Cincinnati Enquirer, and Germany’s Mittelhessen.
